Mike Newman has been working in the Travel Trade since 1998, initially undertaking the Sales and Marketing for the BITOA (now UKinbound) Visitor Guide and the British Tourist Authority (VisitBritain) London and Britain Maps as Business Development Manager for Visitmap. In the advent of increasingly popular internet advertising by the end of 2002, Mike saw the opportunity to increase the contact between museums, galleries and visitor attractions with tour operators and travel agents in key markets by offering a cost effective representation for complementary products, thereby creating simple itinerary ideas for FIT clients as well as groups under the brand name b2me

Over the years that followed, Mike has built up a wide portfolio of clients across the travel industry providing strategy representation and tourism marketing consultancy in the UK and internationally.

Mike spent 4 years as a Board member of UKinbound (2010-2014) and was also retained for 8 years (2006 -2015) to provide marketing strategy and consultancy for the Group Travel Organiser’s Association (GTOA) – the leading trade association for the UK domestic groups market.

In 2015, Mike was appointed by VisitBritain to run and manage their Japan and South Korea Sales mission.
