About Us

b2me Tourism Marketing is led by Mike Newman, who has over 25 years’ travel trade experience; of which 20 years has been spent as a consultant working with a wide range of attraction, museum and destination clients across the UK and Ireland.

Mike has worked on multiple GREAT Challenge Fund and Discover England Fund Projects, running stakeholder workshops, product audits, itinerary planning and concept testing with the UK and international travel trade.

Internationally, Mike also has over a decade of experience in working with tour operators in the US, Canada, Germany, Japan and South Korea, arranging bespoke sales missions and product training annually.

In addition to inbound travel trade expertise, Mike’s experience has included 8 years providing marketing and communications for the Group Travel Organisers’ Association (GTOA) – now known as the AGTO – and has used this to develop a thorough understanding of the UK groups market. A past Board member of UKinbound, Mike is also a tourism consultant for TEAM Tourism and Go To Places and is lead consultant on Connected Distribution for Failte Ireland's Digital That Delivers programme.

Mike’s specialist areas of expertise include travel trade strategy and marketing, workshop facilitation, stakeholder engagement, tour operator engagement and itinerary planning.

Developing 'trade friendly' training materials for tour operator sales teams and product developers has become a particular passion of Mike’s and he has provided a wide range of individual and destination clients with specialist advice on developing effective sales growth.

In January 2020, Mike launched Travel Trade Ready (www.traveltradeready.net) – an innovative platform to support small and medium sized tourism businesses looking to engage more effectively with trade buyers.

We do not believe that circumstances should compromise support, and b2me is committed to providing the same level of expertise on line as we do face to face.  We are proud to state that our on line service provision will always be 'virtually the same' as our face to face work.
